Over the last couple of years I’ve been WordPress and as such have come across loads of different WordPress plugins so I wanted to share some of my favourites that I’ve found. So here are 6 of my favourite WordPress plugins; I whittled it down to the plugins I would really recommend to anyone with a WordPress site.

Featured Content Gallery
This plugin is brilliant. It has loads of features and provides a really attractive sliding gallery which is perfectly suited for use on homepages where you want to ‘feature’ a few posts or pages without having to take up loads of room with different sections. It’s easy to install and set up as well.

All in One SEO
When it comes to SEO I haven’t yet used a better plugin; there’s lots of options on how to display post and page titles as well as areas to edit the overall Title and Description for your site along with space for tagging keywords. This has helped many a blogger get more visitors and is a must.

GigPress
For all the musicians out there GigPress is essential. It provides loads of options for adding all your gigs and, what makes this plugin so good, Â the ability to add venues and tours with detailed information. This means you can have a whole tour as a nice list that you can send out to fans. You can also easily reuse venues as well if you often play at the same venue. The RSS Feed from GigPress is also really useful.

XML Sitemaps
Getting more visitors to your site is often high on the priority list of website owners. It can take a long time to inter link all your pages and content so this is where XML Sitemaps comes in, it generates a sitemap that helps Google, Yahoo and Bing to find everything on your site. Think of it as a giant map of your website with the key locations clearly marked.
